Agent

Jennifer Eckert grew up in the real estate business, as both of her parents were well-established Marin County brokers. She started her career as a mortgage broker, which gave her additional valuable insight later as a Realtor®. Jennifer’s passion for real estate and fierce commitment to her clients has yielded unrivaled word-of-mouth business; since her first home sale in 2005, more than 75% of her deals have come from referrals or repeat clients. This level of trust is not accidental, and it is an honor that she does not treat lightly. She takes her duties to her clients - first-time buyers and seasoned investors alike - very seriously. Many of Jennifer's clients have become lifelong friends.

Jennifer's father, Raymond Joseph Eckert, was the youngest-ever president of Marin County's Board of Realtors® (at only 26). He taught real estate, opened Eckert Realty in the 1970s, and then later opened The Real Estate Exchange with Jennifer's mother, Joan Eckert. Jennifer has a unique perspective on the business, having spent much of her youth organizing her parents' files and helping rehabilitate countless homes. Her strength in negotiating began at the tender age of three when she learned to barter her painting services for mint chip ice cream. She owned her first duplex by the time she was 13. Jennifer graduated Cum Laude with a BA from UCLA and became a licensed Realtor® in 2004. Choosing a career in real estate was the best decision she ever made. Two decades later, she is even more in love with real estate and excited to get up and go to work every day. Jennifer has been recognized several years running by Los Angeles magazine as one of its “Real Estate All-Stars,” and she landed on Real Trends Inc's 2022 list of America's Best agents (top 1.49% of more than 1.6 million Realtors®). She has received press in the LA Times, Los Angeles magazine, Curbed, Variety, and Elysian magazine.

John Kostrey, a friend for those same two decades, helped Jennifer with several of her clients during a 2019 maternity leave. Things went so smoothly that the two got to talking about a possible partnership. Merging their businesses has allowed John and Jennifer to create an even more seamless experience for their respective clients while complementing strengths in disparate neighborhoods. Joining forces with John was another of the best decisions Jennifer has ever made.

Jennifer has sold more than $175 million of Los Angeles real estate, and her Zillow profile is full of glowing testimonials. She is an expert negotiator, a relentless client advocate, and a lover of all things gluten-free (especially donuts). She lives in Glendale with her husband John (now also part of The Kostrey + Eckert Collection!) and their two children.
